Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Marketing With Jim ("we," "us," or "our"), the operator of marketingwithjim.com, collects, uses, stores, and shares information in connection with the Marketing With Jim Ads Manager application (the "Application"). The Application is an internal advertising analytics and reporting tool, operated by Marketing With Jim, that connects to the Google Ads API on behalf of its authorized users.
What the Application Does
The Application retrieves advertising performance data from Google Ads accounts that our authorized users manage, for the sole purpose of internal performance reporting, campaign analysis, and marketing analytics. The Application is used internally by Marketing With Jim; it is not offered to the general public.
Google User Data We Access
When an authorized user connects the Application to their Google account, the Application requests access to the Google Ads API through the OAuth scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords. Through this scope, the Application accesses the following Google user data:
- Google Ads account identifiers and account settings (such as customer IDs, account names, currency, and time zone)
- Campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, and search term configuration data
- Advertising performance metrics (such as impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, and conversion values)
- Basic profile information associated with the authorizing Google account (such as the email address used to grant access)
The Application does not access Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, or any other Google services or data outside of the Google Ads API.
How We Use Google User Data
We use the data described above exclusively to:
- Generate internal advertising performance reports, dashboards, and analyses
- Monitor campaign spend, conversion performance, and account health
- Troubleshoot and validate advertising measurement and attribution
We do not use Google user data for advertising or ad targeting purposes unrelated to the authorized accounts, for training machine learning models, for resale, or for any purpose other than providing the reporting functionality described above.
How We Store and Protect Google User Data
- OAuth credentials (including refresh tokens) are stored securely, encrypted at rest, and are accessible only to authorized personnel.
- Advertising performance data retrieved from the Google Ads API is stored only as long as needed to produce reports and analyses, and is protected by access controls.
- All communication with Google APIs occurs over encrypted HTTPS connections.
How We Share Google User Data
We do not sell Google user data. We do not share Google user data with third parties, except:
- With service providers that process data on our behalf solely to operate the Application (for example, secure cloud infrastructure), under obligations of confidentiality;
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights; or
- With the express consent of the account owner.
Limited Use Disclosure
The Application's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain Google user data only for as long as it is needed for the reporting purposes described above. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below, and we will delete it within 30 days. Revoking the Application's access (see below) stops all further data collection immediately.
Revoking Access
You can revoke the Application's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account security settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how the Application uses Google user data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated to authorized users before they take effect.
